Yohanis Zoal Koang Thor is a dedicated humanitarian professional and public administration expert with a Bachelor’s Degree from Haramaya University, Ethopia. Currently serving as Field Coordinator for Jonglei State and Greater Akobo, he brings extensive experience from previous roles as Protection Officer with IMC, Field Security Assistant with UNMISS, and Field Security Focal Point with Save the Children in Akobo County.
His unique blend of protection and security expertise enables him to navigate complex environments, manage high-performing teams, and foster strong relationships with local authorities and humanitarian partners. Fluent in English and Arabic, Yohanis is committed to promoting community resilience, good governance, and sustainable development in South Sudan’s most challenging contexts.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Cavendish University Uganda and has served in various leadership roles within both humanitarian and faith institutions. Reverend Nathaniel previously worked as Programmes Coordinator with the Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA), where he managed and implemented projects supported by organizations such as OSIEA, Amplify Change, the United Nations Trust Fund (UNTF) to End Violence Against Women, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA).
