Jenneth Achieng is an accomplished and passionate Program Manager with over nine years of progressive experience driving evidence-based humanitarian and development interventions across Uganda. Currently serving as the Programs Manager for the African Christian Ecumenical Alliance (ACEA) in South Sudan, she provides overall leadership in the planning, implementation, and coordination of the organization’s country programs. Her work is defined by an unwavering commitment to advancing social and gender justice, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while adhering to the highest humanitarian principles and international quality standards.
With a robust background spanning gender and protection programming, Jenneth has demonstrated exceptional expertise in women and girls’ empowerment, gender mainstreaming, child protection, education, and health promotion. Her career is marked by a history of successfully managing multi-donor grants, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering strong partnerships with government authorities, NGOs, and community structures. A passionate advocate and activist against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Violence Against Children, she has extensive experience in human rights protection, advocacy, community mobilization, and participatory monitoring and evaluation. Her ability to coordinate complex programs in refugee settlements and conflict-affected areas, including her leadership role at CESVI Uganda in Palabek Refugees Settlement, reflects her dedication to mitigating vulnerabilities and strengthening community resilience.
Jenneth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Makerere University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Counselling Psychology at Kisubi University. Combining academic knowledge with practical expertise in psychosocial support and gender-transformative programming, she is dedicated to fostering inclusive work environments and amplifying the voices of vulnerable populations. Her multilingual skills and ability to navigate diverse cultural contexts make her a valuable leader in advancing sustainable, community-led change.
