Abraham Majur Laam is a distinguished and results-oriented Operations Manager with over eleven years of progressive experience driving impactful humanitarian and development programs across South Sudan. Currently serving as the Operations Manager for the African Christian Ecumenical Alliance (ACEA) in Juba, Abraham leads the strategic development and implementation of the organization’s country portfolio, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and community needs. His work is defined by a steadfast commitment to donor compliance, rigorous monitoring and evaluation, and the empowerment of national teams to deliver sustainable outcomes for vulnerable populations.
With a robust background that spans operational and supply chain management, Abraham has demonstrated exceptional leadership in some of the most complex and insecure environments in the region. His career is marked by a history of successfully managing multi-million-dollar budgets, leading cross-functional teams, and coordinating multi-sectoral projects for prestigious international organizations, including Catholic Relief Services (CRS), REACH/ACTED, and Water for South Sudan. A critical thinker and effective coordinator, he excels at ensuring operational readiness, streamlining workflows, and fostering collaboration across thematic areas to maximize program impact.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Makerere University, Abraham combines his academic foundation with extensive practical expertise in logistics, finance, and risk mitigation. He is a proactive resource mobilizer, skilled in developing high-quality concept notes, operations, travel, and contract management, and proposals that contribute to organizational growth.
Beyond his professional duties, Abraham is a committed member of Rotary International, demonstrating a passion for community leadership and service. His ability to navigate cultural and operational challenges, coupled with his fluency in English, Arabic, and multiple South Sudanese local languages, makes him an invaluable asset in driving positive change and building a more resilient future for Africa.
